Nicki Minaj’s older brother Jelani Maraj has been convicted of predatory sexual assault of a child younger than 13 years old, it has been confirmed.

Maraj had consistently denied the allegations, but a jury convicted him of endangering the welfare of a child and of predatory sexual assault on a child younger than 13 at a court in Nassau County, New York, the DA’s spokesperson Brendon Brosh told People magazine.

He was arrested in connection with the case back in December 2015. In the trial, which lasted for over a month before coming to a conclusion on Thursday (November 10th), Maraj argued that the allegations were fabricated as part of an extortion attempt to get $25 million from his famous sister.

Nicki Minaj has promised her new music will be ''a billion times more epic'' than 'Anaconda'.

The 34-year-old singer has been hard at work on the follow-up to 2014's 'The Pinkprint' and told fans the next ''era'' of her career will be the most ''impactful'' to date.

Speaking to Dazed, she said: ''This era will be a billion times more epic than anything 'Anaconda' could have delivered. I think this era will definitely be the most memorable and the most impactful of my career yet.''

Calvin Harris has been confirmed to perform at Rihanna's third Diamnond Ball alongside Kendrick Lamar.

The superstar DJ - who collaborated with the Bejan beauty on hits 'This Is What You Came For' and 'We Found Love' - has signed up to the charity fundraiser taking place at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City on September 14 in aid of the Clara Lionel Foundation.

Rihanna said in a statement: ''I'm ecstatic to add my longtime collaborator and friend Calvin Harris to the stellar line-up at this year's Diamond Ball. Calvin's music will bring the perfect mix of energy and excitement to the evening as we celebrate the Clara Lionel Foundation.''
