The 34-year-old rapper shot the accompanying artistry for her new single in London just days before the suspected terror attack, which took place at Westminster Bridge last month, and the footage captures the London sites, including the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben in the clip.

However, social media users have taken to social media to open up about the artistry and the 'Anaconda' hitmaker has been slammed as being insensitive to the horrifying incident.

She accuses her of having slept with Lil Wayne, Drake, Gucci Mane, Trey Songz and Ebro Darden, and also threatens to leak a video of Nicki snorting cocaine ('I might leak the footage of you sniffing them ski slopes').

After a great deal of speculation over the last few weeks, Nicki Minaj has confirmed that she is now single, having broken up with Meek Mill, her rapper boyfriend of nearly two years.

Rumours that the music power couple had split up started at the end of December when 29 year old Meek – real name Robert Rihmeek Williams – briefly deleted his Instagram account and Nicki posted a series of cryptic tweets hinting that their relationship had ended.

However, she’s revealed that she’ll be taking a hard-earned break from music when her world tour finishes in December.

25 year old Swift has been on the road pretty much constantly since May, when the guest star-studded '1989 World Tour' kicked off with a brace of shows in Tokyo. She’s apparently worried that spending so long in the public eye might cause people to get tired of her.

“I think I should take some time off,” she confessed in a new interview. “People might need a break from me. I'm going to hang out with friends. Write new music. Maybe not write new music. I don't know,” she said.

Speaking to The New York Times Magazine in their October Culture Issue, Minaj said if Cyrus wants to enjoy black culture she should also want to, ‘know what affect us’.

Pop megastar Ed Sheeran and TV star Ruby Rose have been unveiled as the co-hosts for this year’s MTV Europe Music Awards in Milan.

Both stars have revealed their excitement at being selected to host the event together, which is being held at the Mediolanum Forum in the northern Italian city on October 25th.

Sheeran announced to his 15 million Twitter followers on Wednesday (September 30th) that he had been picked to present. “So happy to say I'm hosting the #MTVEMAs on 25th October! Cannot wait,” he wrote.

The ABC network has unveiled a new scripted comedy series based on the life of pop sensation Nicki Minaj, in which the singer herself will star and claim an executive production role.

The news was broken by Deadline on Tuesday (September 29th), the pilot episode will be made this winter in New York City, with a full series likely to be given the green light. The biographical series will be based on Minaj’s childhood in Queens, following her family’s immigration from Trinidad & Tobago when she was five years old.

She’s up for a record-breaking total of nine trophies in the EMA nominations, which were announced on Tuesday (September 15th) via MTV’s Snapchat Discover channel.

‘Bad Blood’, the fourth single from 1989 which also features Kendrick Lamar, is the centre of attention, nominated in three categories (Best Song, Best Video and the newly-created prize for Best Collaboration). Furthermore, Swift was nominated in every possible category that she could have been – Best Pop Act, Best Live Act, Best Female, Biggest Fans and Best Look.

Grace Jones has unleashed a tirade of criticism at all manner of modern pop stars, from Minaj to Miley, by describing them as “middle of the stream” and lamenting the current state of the music industry, in her new autobiography.

‘I’ll Never Write My Memoirs’ is released on September 29th, but as a taster she has published a few excerpts from the new book via Time Out. In one of them, Jones complains that a whole host of pop stars have copied her style but have no “long-term vision”, coming off as unoriginal and therefore easily replaceable.

“Trends come along and people say, ‘follow that trend’,” she writes. “There’s a lot of that around at the moment: 'Be like Sasha Fierce. Be like Miley Cyrus. Be like Rihanna. Be like Lady GaGa. Be like Rita Ora and Sia. Be like Madonna.’ I cannot be like them – except to the extent that they are already being like me.”

Miley Cyrus didn’t disappoint as host of the year’s MTV VMAs on Sunday (August 30th). The ‘Wrecking Ball’ singer led the ceremony in all her barely dressed, tongue sticking out glory, making the awards more colourful and glittery than ever before, even if Nicki Minaj wasn't too impressed.

Miley Cyrus has been voted the worst celebrity role model for children in a new survey of British parents. A whopping 78% of parents of children under 10 say that the former ‘Hannah Montana’ star is “off the rails” and wouldn’t want their kids to idolise her.

The survey by British website vouchercloud.com asked 2,287 British parents, all of whom have at least one child under the age of 10, the question: “are there any celebrities you would hate for your children to idolise?” and were provided with a list of male and female celebrities to select from.

A wax statue of Nicki Minaj in Madame Tussauds in Las Vegas has been the subject of controversy since it was put in pride of place in the visitor attraction in July. Whilst some have commented on the inappropriate position of Minaj’s statue (on all fours), further problems have arisen as some visitors have been posing in inappropriate and highly sexualised ways with the waxwork. Madame Tussauds has announced it is increasing security around the statue in order to prevent other inappropriate photographs being taken by visitors.
