Williams took a memento from the set of 'Game of Thrones' when filming wrapped last month.

Fans have been eagerly anticipating the final season of ‘Game of Thrones’ for what feels like forever by now, but for the show’s cast, it’s all completed, with the final scenes in the can last month.

When the HBO epic fantasy series finished, one of its most established stars, Maisie Williams, made sure she bagged herself a very special souvenir – her character Arya Stark’s brown leather jacket.

“I can imagine it being something that I’m like, ‘Oh, I was on this show once upon a time and this was the jacket I wore’. And my grandkids being like, “Please stop’,” she joked to BBC Radio 1’s Nick Grimshaw on Friday (August 10th).

The show will return for its final season in 2019.

The final 'Game Of Thrones' season may be over a year away from making it to the small screen, but that hasn't stopped the discussion surrounding the final six episodes of the smash hit series from reaching an all-time high ever since season 7 came to a close. Rumours have been swirling for months now, but nobody other than those working behind-the-scenes on the series, and the author of the books on which the show is based, George R. R. Martin, knows exactly what will be going down.

Originally scheduled for release in April of this year, 'New Mutants' has been pushed back by almost a year following the merger between Walt Disney and Fox Studios, leading to a number of rumours surrounding the reasons for that. Some think that heavy reshoots will have to be done, with reports suggesting the film would become more of a horror than a superhero release. Others believed new scenes were being shot to tie 'New Mutants' directly in with the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The actress says the "quote is from an interview she did "years ago".

Maisie Williams has denied reports that broke over the past few days, claiming that she had let the cat out of the bag in regards to the premiere date of the final season of 'Game Of Thrones'. Metro claimed that Williams - who plays Arya Stark in the hit HBO fantasy series - had said April, 2019 was the month in which the series would make its return for its final outing. Now however, the actress has taken to her Twitter to deny those claims.

Just a tweet letting you know this game of thrones release date "quote" I've supposedly given is completely false and taken from an interview I did years ago.

The actress says filming will wrap in December of this year.

Fans may be a little annoyed that they have to wait until 2019 to see 'Game Of Thrones' come to its end with its eighth and final season, but the fact everybody involved with the series is so intent on getting those last six episodes right should provide some comfort, in that they'll be the best they could ever be.

Maisie Williams has starred as Arya Stark in 'Game of Thrones' since the show's very first episode

Taking George R. R. Martin's currently incomplete novel series 'A Song of Ice and Fire' into the world of television via HBO was a huge challenge for creators D.B. Weiss and David Benioff, but one that they've excelled at. There have of course been a couple of controversies and complaints along the way by a vocal portion of the fan base, but overall, the series has been celebrated at most turns.
