Adele could be preparing to launch some
Adele is preparing to return to the UK with some surprise shows.
The ‘Hello’ singer, 35, has been performing her 'Weekends With Adele' residency in Las Vegas over the past year, and hasn't performed in her home country since her London Hyde Park events in 2022, but her agent Lucy Dickins has suggested that could change, although she was quick to note that new music is unlikely at this moment in time.
Asked if she and Adele are planning any UK dates, she told The Daily Star newspaper's Wired column: “I am, I am. I don’t think there will be any new music imminently, put it that way, but watch this space. Let’s see what happens.”
Lucy went on to insist that the 'Someone Like You' songstress wants to continue to surprise fans with future concerts, and is keen to follow her own musical and performing path.
She said: “She’s not gonna do what everyone else does.
“Everything about her is live and her voice, that’s why the (Vegas) show was delayed because everything had to be perfect for her and it’s purely voice when you see the show.
“She wouldn’t do anything unless she was giving it 100% and about her pure voice. Adele doesn’t traditionally do what everyone else does, you have to think outside the box.”
Meanwhile, Lucy revealed that she has seen Adele's Las Vegas show "so many times" and insisted that she "never got bored" of the Sin City spectacular.
She said: “I’ve seen that show so many times and I could watch it night after night, it’s the one show I’ve never got bored of.
She said: “I still cry and laugh, it brings out every emotion possible, it’s amazing how it makes you feel. It gives me goose pimples talking about it.”
Adele has just wrapped up her current leg of shows in Las Vegas, and Lucy went on to note that the Grammy Award-winning star - who has 10-year-old son Angelo with ex-husband Simon Konecki - is taking a "well-deserved" break before returning in 2024.
Her agent said: “Adele just finished last night. It’s well deserved, she works her a*** off but she starts again next year.
“She’s an incredible mother and works so hard, she deserves it.”
