Downton Abbey star Elizabeth McGovern drummed up interest for her band's gig in Scotland over the weekend (17-18Aug13) by taking to the streets to hand out flyers.
The actress, known for playing Cora, Countess of Grantham in the popular period drama, also sings in a band called Sadie and the Hot Heads and they performed a show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival on Sunday (18Aug13).
MCGovern helped shift tickets by pounding the streets in the hours before the concert, handing out leaflets and talking to prospective gig-goers.
The band is performing as part of the festival until 25 August (13) and the shows start at 11.45pm.
MCGovern admits she may struggle with the late nights, telling Edinburghnews.scotsman.com, "I'll tell you what, I have not been up at 11.45 at night in 30 years. So I have no idea what that is going to be like."
