Mabel is "burning the candle from both sides" and getting a questionable rep on her latest collaborative single with 24kGoldn - 'Overthinking'. The 'Don't Call Me Up' singer and 'CITY OF ANGELS' artist have hooked up once again to deliver a moody and reflective brooding banger.
San Fran rapper 24kGoldn and English-Swedish singer-songwriter Mabel last worked together with Clean Bandit on the 2020 smash hit single - 'Tick Tock'. This time around the duo have paired up on a single to be featured on Mabel's second album - 'ABOUT LAST NIGHT'. The new record, Mabel's follow up to her 2019 debut - 'High Expectations', is darker and more introspective and is expected to be released later this year. The new full length record will also feature the lead single - 'Let Them Know', which was released in June last year, 'Take It Home', 'I Wish' and the most recent single - 'Good Luck'.
Talking about her latest single release Mabel said that 'Overthinking' deals with "about how quickly things can turn from thrilling to toxic. Many people suffering from mental health disorders self-medicate and I too went through a time when I turned to drugs to numb my feelings. I hope that anyone that may resonate with this song knows that after the darkness comes the light."
The track was produced in LA by Norwegian producers Stargate (Tor Hermansen and Mikkel Eriksen) who have worked with an array of stars in the past including Rihanna, Katy Perry, Beyonce, Pink, Sia and even S Club 7!
As the single dropped Mabel took to Instagram with the simple message - "'Overthinking' is OUT NOW!!! Sooo proud of this one and loved working with @24kGoldn."
