Machine Gun Kelly is in a hurry to get his latest video shot and uploaded as he teams up with Lil Wayne on their new single - 'ay!' "Yo, hey can you call the boys up real quick and see if we can shoot this video for 'ay!', cos it comes out in the morning" Kelly says as he speaks into his mobile before the credits roll and he starts singing in his living room. (According to MGK's Instagram post his latest video was also shot by him on his iphone.)
With his sixth studio album, 'Mainstream Sellout', due out on March 25th the 'my ex's best friend' singer is gearing up for a busy few months. MGK's latest single sees him collaborating with 'Mirror' and 'Love Me' rapper Lil Wayne on Kelly's third single to be released from his latest album.
Kelly's last single was also a collaboration and saw the 'Bird Box' actor hook up with 'Wait A Minute' artist WILLOW for their 'Hot Rock' top 10 chart hit 'emo girl'. Both of Kelly's last two singles, and the lead track from the album - 'Papercuts', will feature on Machine Gun Kelly's full length follow up to his number one album of 2020 - 'Tickets To My Downfall'.
In the rush to get his latest video filmed, Machine Gun Kelly has omitted to include his the guest vocalist, replacing the need for Lil Wayne's physical presence by substituting a paper cut-out figure on the table top in front of him! Whilst viewers may be surprised not to see Dwayne Michael Carter Jr in the video they are treated to numerous costume changes throughout the home movie from Colson Baker.
'Mainstream Sellout' will be released via Bad Boy/Interscope Records on March 25th.
