After previewing the song earlier this year on both Instagram Live and TikTok, 'Reggae & Calypso' artist Russ Millions has finally shared his track - 'BABA (Toma Tussi)', as his latest single. The Ivor Novello-nominated Deptford rapper, who bagged a number one single last year with Tion Wayne, has released three tracks so far this year but he's struggling to recreate last year's 'Body' success.
'One Of A Kind Music Presents: Reggae & Calypso', featuring Buni and YV, Millions first single of the year, reached number 12 on the UK charts and hung around for 15 weeks but subsequent singles 'Backseat' and '6am In Dubai' have not faired as well, peaking at number 97 and 100 respectively.
Russ will no doubt be hoping that his Jay Parpworth (Backroad Gee/Ms Banks/Swarmz/Miss LaFamilia) directed video for his latest track will help propel his new single to the next level. The sun soaked film sees Russ chillin' out in a pool as he floats without a care in the world on the back of a pink inflatable flamingo before he pops up, water pistol in hand, to enjoy the pool with a bevy of bikini clad beauties.
Russ said that he felt like Michael Jackson in the 80's after the release of his latest track and his fans were clearly loving his new single. GRM A/V said - "Russ n tion are geniuses when it comes to making anthems !!! Them kinda ones that get played all year n are unforgettable!!!! They are in a different league when it comes to delivering the right product", whilst AR commented - "Russ never disappoints always been cold he just enjoying life right now he most definitely top5 in the UK in my opinion this is a banger" and Henri Beqiraj summed it up when he said - "Summer has officially started with this song".
